we have interviewed Zoë Routh who is a leadership and motivation coach and asked her what should we as international students in Australia do if we are losing motivation during online classes.

Zoë Routh: Leadership Expert and Trainer Australia-wide (https://www.zoerouth.com/)
Zoë works with leaders and teams in Canberra, Perth, Melbourne Sydney, Brisbane and throughout regional Australia.
People stuff in leadership: It’s what gets in the way of doing great work. It’s also the cause of doing great work! Her work is about expanding leadership perspectives so we can all just work better together. They do Team Stuff, Leadership Stuff, and Culture Stuff. All things people.
With everything that is going on currently, we have seen students attending classes on zoom and tutors trying to give maximum value through online classes. There is no doubt that this change is new and hard to accept but to understand deeper we interviewed international students in Australia and asked them what issues they are facing. Later in the interview, Zoe gives some practical tips on how international students can make notes creatively, help fellow students understand some concepts or write a small article on the topic they have learned on LinkedIn and build a community of followers there. This will not only help you understand our studies but also it will help in securing a job in your field. view all

Here is a video explaining 5 major visa changes that has recently took place for international students in Australia.

On 20 July the Australian Government announced a number of changes to student visa arrangements to support international students.
The changes are:
The Government will recommence granting student visas in all locations lodged outside Australia. This means when borders re-open, students will already have visas and be able to make arrangements to travel.
- Eligibility requirements for a post-study work visa (Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) will be relaxed for applicants who are enrolled with an Australian education provider and have been impacted by COVID-19 and associated travel restrictions. Under these arrangements:
- Existing and new student visa holders who undertake online study outside Australia because of COVID 19 will be able to count this towards the Australian Study Requirement.
- Eligible graduates affected by travel restrictions will also be able to apply for and be granted a Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa outside Australia.
- Additional time will be given for applicants to provide English language results where COVID-19 has disrupted access to these services. Additional time will also be provided to undertake biometric collection and health checks where COVID-19 has disrupted access to services.

NEW ZEALAND RESTRICTIONS LIFTED | First day out in Auckland City since lockdown
Peter and Yen wrote the post • 0 comments • 399 views • 2020-07-24 18:14
We had been staying home and indoors pretty much ever since we arrived back in NZ in March except for the occasional grocery run and flu jab. Therefore the day after it officially became level 2 in NZ, we decided to head out and take a stroll about Auckland city for an afternoon. We went around visiting Auckland retail stores to see what the situation was like for businesses and give our support where we could.
Peter (and mum) had been in dire need of a good hair cut. Thankfully under level 2, hair dressers could reopen again so we visited our hairdresser Andy who owns Urban Hair Studio. His shop is situated right outside the apartment we use to live in. Andy is a really nice guy so if you're in Auckland CBD and after a fresh cut, visit Urban Hair Studio. You'll need to make an appointment though, he's a very popular guy!

EPISODE 3: Butter Prawns with Egg Floss trick!
There are so many delicious Malaysian dishes but one that we like to order if we see it on the menu is butter prawns! Especially if it comes with egg floss. The most difficult thing to learn how to cook for butter prawns is the tantalizingly salty, sweet, fluffy and crispy egg floss with that beautiful scent of curry leaves but I recently came across an ingenious trick for making the egg floss that I had to try out. Peter learnt how to devein prawns from Mum too.
===============

100 grams (3.5 oz) butter
Small handful of curry leaves

Easy Birthday Cake Recipe, Peter tries baking for the very first time.

Peter tries baking for the very first time. He learns to bake an easy birthday cake recipe given to us by our very good friend (thanks Kersh!). It's a butter cake recipe topped with butter cream icing and it's a delicious buttery combo.
We baked this cake for our Mum's birthday, surprising her after dinner with our family from around the world on Zoom to all celebrate together during lockdown. Thanks to our cuzzy for organising the Zoom call!
If you're looking for an easy butter cake recipe or a simple birthday cake recipe, give this a try. We also cover a very easy buttercream icing recipe too.

We're slowly working our way to the South Island eventually again too but for this particular road trip escapade we visited the Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and Bay of Plenty regions of North Island, NZ.
In this video we visited the town of "trees and champions", Cambridge in Waikato, as well as finally seeing for ourselves the insanely clear, blue waters of Blue Spring in Putaruru. We couldn't believe our eyes how beautiful, pure and clear the water was.
Cambridge is known as the town of "trees and champions" in New Zealand because of its scenic sights but also because it's home to many national sports organisations and events, and a ton of NZ olympic gold medalists too.
After a few hours of driving from Auckland, our first stop in Cambridge was Hanoi Boy. Delicious, fresh Vietnamese street food served out of a food truck. It was so tasty and the perfect meal to rejuvenate us. We both got bun cha which is one of our favourite Vietnamese dishes.
Hanoi boy- Vietnamese Street Food
Address: 9 Albert Street, Cambridge 3434
Hours:
Sunday & Monday Closed
Tuesday & Wednesday 11am–2pm
Thursday - Saturday 11am–8pm
A few minutes drive away we stopped off quickly at Lake Karapiro before we made our way over to the Blue Spring. Note that there is a longer walk you can do along the Waihou River but if you just want to do a much shorter walk and see the Blue Spring sooner, you can park at the Leslie Road car park like we did and go from there.

We met a bunch of awesome Kiwis along the way and as always made sure to support local New Zealand businesses where we could during our domestic travels too.
In this vlog, we left our family home in East Auckland and began our trip up north to get lunch at Puhoi Valley & Cheese Shop (roughly 40 mins from Auckland city). Shortly after, we stopped by the Honey Centre in Warkworth to pick up a couple of souvenirs before checking into our beautiful lockwood Airbnb lodge in Waiwera. We then ate at a Thai restaurant in Orewa for dinner before turning in for the night given we had a long drive ahead of us the very next day.
We hope you enjoy this three part vlog from our recent mini New Zealand road trip and visit up north!
