Mobile Myki can be a little slow, particularly when getting used to best way of touching your phone, which is a bit different to touching a card.
It relies on your phone’s NFC chip to communicate with the Myki readers. Different phones have the NFC chip in different positions. It’s worth finding out where it is on your phone so you can hold it closest to the reader to get the quickest response.
We’ve found that, as with Myki cards, the newer card readers work better than the old green/yellow ones.
