Reference Sheep & BeefWe are currently looking to fill the following permanent positions on our extensive sheep and beef farming operation situated in Northern Southland.
• Head Shepherd/Stock Manager to assist our farm manager in the running, maintaining and development of the farm.
• General Shepherd to assist with the farming operations.
There is a huge amount of variety in these roles - with any two days very rarely the same.
The roles will include but are not limited to the following:
• Attending to all aspects of Livestock management including Lambing, mustering, drenching, dipping, vaccination, docking, crutching.
• Repairs and maintenance of fences, gates, water troughs, drains, buildings, yards, farm tracks and all other farm infrastructure.
• Operation and maintenance of farm vehicles, equipment, and machinery
• Weed and pest control including grubbing, spraying.
• We are looking for someone with previous experience, and a good team of well controlled working dogs.

• Good communication, initiative and attention to detail
• Sense of humour and a healthy dose of common sense
