Hello, sewing whiz! Whether you’re a confident sewer or looking to up your skills even more, the Love Letters Blouse is a feminine addition to any wardrobe. Our Advanced level is perfect for those with moderate to ample sewing experience. With this blouse, you’ll hone your sewing skills in a more complex garment, and look good in it once it’s all done! In making this blouse, you’ll master:

- Sewing frills to a neckline 
- Adding an asymmetrical frill
- Using French seams
- Sewing sleeves to off-the-shoulder frills
- Adding elastic
- Making rouleau loops for your shoulder straps
- Binding neckline seams

Sizing:

This style is a floaty blouse with off-the-shoulder frills and shoulder ties. It fits true to size. When deciding your size, go with your normal size when you shop at RUBY. For specific body measurements, refer to our Size Guide. 


What You'll Need:

In this pattern, there are 12 pieces:
- Front bodice
- Back bodice
- Front left cup
- Front left frill
- Sleeve frill (left and right)
- Sleeve (left and right)
- Shoulder straps (left and right)
- Binding (front and back neckline)


Fabric:
Exact fabric meterage (between 1.5m - 2m) will be specified in the Instruction Manual. 


We suggest lightweight to medium-weight fabrics with little to no stretch, such as linen, cotton, denim. For advanced sewers, fabrics with drape are also suitable, such as silk, crepe de chine, silky type fabrics, lightweight sateens.

- Domestic sewing machine (with zig zag stitch capability) or industrial sewing machine & overlocker
- Fabric scissors
- Pins
- Thread (matching the fabric of your choice)
