I spent 3 months this summer in New Zealand on a 1500 cow farm during calving! I had an incredible experience and learnt a lot from all the team over there! A massive thank you to the boss Tom and the rest of the Henbook team for making my trip the best!

Is New Zealand Dairy in danger of being milked out of existence? | Danielle Appleton | TEDxTauranga

The era of New Zealand’s safe economic reliance on its dairy industry is over. Disruptive technology is here and we’re staring down the barrel of crisis if our economy doesn’t adapt to survive.

Danielle paints us a quantitative and qualitative picture and argues a case for kiwi ingenuity to stay ahead of the inevitable change that is coming.

Danielle Appleton, MBA and Masters in Dairy Science and Technology, spent a decade working on improving Fonterra’s large-scale dairy manufacturing processes. She then went on to co-found a dairy and an alternative-dairy startup in New Zealand and is passionate about the Future of Food.

MUNCHIES host and rapper, JessB, makes her way across her staple spots in Auckland for late-night drunk eats. First, she heads to Coco’s Cantina, an Italian restaurant that sources only local products, to eat a few dishes and interview locals; then, she makes her way to Gemmayze Street for cocktails and Lebanese food, and ends her night at The White Lady food truck for a classic kiwi burger.

Best Seafood Restaurants in Auckland, New Zealand

burger in auckland wrote the post • 0 comments • 459 views • 2020-01-15 19:09 • added this tag no more than 24h

The island nation of New Zealand is known for its immaculate seafood. Join us on this episode as we sample some of Auckland's finest seafood restaurants.

1. Our first stop is the newly re-opened Auckland Fish Market. We have already been here multiple times since its revamp and refurbishment. The plethora of quality seafood choices both cooked and fresh is outstanding. New Zealand has some incredible seafood and you can get a great variety of it at Auckland Fish Market. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as a carpark nearby. Quick tip, keep your second carpark receipt so you can redeem $4 cashback at any of the seafood eateries by simply giving them your parking ticket. On this trip we purchased: Whitebait fritters from Billypot. Sword fish skewers from Mar and Tierra. Popcorn prawn and fish tacos from Tiki Thai. And whitebait and snapper dumplings from Azabu. Address: 22-32 Jellicoe St, Freemans Bay, Auckland 1010 Hours: Monday - Sunday 7am til late

2. Next up, one of our favourites Crab Shack! The best place in New Zealand to eat crabs. Crab Shack in Auckland is located on Princes Wharf so you get to enjoy a fantastic waterfront stroll to the restaurant. You gotta try it, grab a pot of crabs, get your bibs on and enjoy all the seafood yumminess. Address: 137 Quay St, Auckland, 1010 Hours: Monday - Sunday 11:30am–10pm

3. Finally we go to one of the busiest and most popular places to get seafood in Auckland. Depot located very close to Sky City, have an amazing array of live clams and oysters all seasonal and always fresh. Depot Eatery and Oyster Bar is a must visit spot if you're in Auckland and on the hunt for a good seafood restaurant. Oh and the fish sliders are to die for! Address: 86 Federal St, Auckland, 1010 Hours: Monday - Sunday 7am–10:30pm If you're enjoying our videos please remember to hit that thumbs up and leave us a comment, we really enjoy hearing from our viewers :) Plus if you're new to our channel, we hope you'll subscribe and turn on notifications so you can stay up to date with all our latest videos each week. We post a new video every Sunday ;) Thank you :D

Big J's Takeaways in collaboration with Fire Dragon Chillies have created New Zealand's spiciest burger, loaded with Reaper Dust and 3 whole Carolina Reapers. The burgers were outstanding, they looked amazing and had such great flavour.... despite being insanely Hot.

The burn set in almost immediately and lasted long after, wreaking havoc on both the mouth and our stomachs well into the night. We would recommend this burger (or any other non spicy burger they do) for fans with a taste for fire or even if you want to give yourself a bit of a challenge. Big thanks to Big J's Takeways for letting us film and the awesome experience we had before, during and after eating the burger.
